Yesterday it was finally time for our own competition, Swesomm Junior Challenge, that lifts and pushes young, Swedish Sommeliers to new levels. The quarter final was held the 4th of September, and from that 8 contestants advanced to the semi final held at Restaurangakademien in the morning Sunday the 6th of November. All competitors did a great job, but only three could go into the final in the afternoon. The finalists were Malin Vallin from Hunger och Törst in Umeå, Albert Wendesten from Djuret in Stockholm and Ida Kilåker from Lenoteket in Lund. After many hard tasks Albert Wendesten was named the winner of Swesomm Junior Challenge 2022. Runner-up was Malin Vallin and in third place Ida Kilåker. Albert Wendesten is now the new junior member of Swesomm, but all three finalists won a study trip to our main sponsor Pol Roger. We look forward to seeing all contestants in future competitions!
